Last Thursday, a Wisconsin court of appeals upheld a decision that allows police to secretly track private citizens with GPS units without having first obtained a warrant. This proves, yet again, that a police state is just over the horizon for us. Get ready people! This decision, like so many other invasions on our liberty, was clothed in the “what is best for the people” argument.
The case centered on a stalker who had been harassing a woman. The police secretly attached a GPS tracking device to his car, so that they could prove his whereabouts at any given time. Is the guy guilty of stalking? You betcha! But the police need to do things the right way. What happened to good old fashioned police work? It shouldn’t be too hard to get a warrant for this. If a judge decides that he will not issue a warrant, then the police need to try something else.
Some out there might say, “Well, this will help us. It allows the police better tools to do their jobs.” What a load of crap. This is striping your Constitutional freedom from you! Wake up people! We all know firsthand how these things work out. The USA Patriot Act was intended to allow warrantless wiretaps on domestic terrorists. Now, with the Obama administration at the helm, we read that the Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC) singles out Libertarians, Constitutionalists, Ron Paul supporters, and self proclaimed patriots as domestic terrorists. Some people are too blind to see the danger in these things until it is too late. Things are great when your party is in power, but when someone new takes over you realize that you just handed them a whole bag full of weapons to use against you.
The reason this post is titled “Hell Just Froze Over” is that the ACLU is fighting this. I never thought I would see the day when I agreed with anything the ACLU did, but I am behind them 100 percent on this one. What in the hell is going on?

Yes, they are. But not in the way you intended. You probably understand that a lot better now.
A terrorist is whatever the government wants it to be.
Things are getting worse! American's have a short attention span. Little stories like this go unnoticed all the time. Only after you piece them all together over a period of two or three years, can you see an agenda. I wish more people would pay attention to what is happening.
